An Australian surfer has suffered minor injuries after he was attacked by a shark while surfing on the north coast of the state of New South Wales.
Shark bit a chunk out of his surfboard. Stephen King was attacked by a shark while surfing at Angourie, on the north coast of the state of New South Wales, Australia "Just as I was taking off, just jumping up, there was this bang from the side and I went cartwheeling through the air and then there was this thrashing beside me," King told.
The 51-year-old suffered only minor injuries for which he was given a tetanus shot.
"I'm probably the luckiest guy on two legs at the moment," he said. "Unbelievable." A spokesman from Australia's Department of Primary Industries said attacks were more common at the start of summer.
