Bohemian braid
This braid hairstyle is usually done on the side of your head and involves only a small portion of your hair. A Bohemian braid hairstlye is a perfect choice because:
1. It can easily be done by yourself.
2. It can camouflage the fringe of your hair while it is growing.
3. It can camouflage greasy roots or messy hair.
4. The boho braid is one of the best braid hairstyles.
In order to create a Bohemian braid part your hair as you would normally. Start a loose French braid toward the ear that is angled down from the face on one side. Place a rubber band once you reach the point behind your ear or run out of hair to work with. Repeat this process on the opposite side. Now do this with the other strands of hair along the front then weave them together. Use bobby pins to keep them intact if you need to. Should the end result appear to be unsightly hide it underneath a barrette.
Side Braid Hairstyles
When you make a side braid start braiding from the top of the head. Alternatively you can make a side pony and braid it. This hairstyle can be sleek or messy. Do it the way you want.
To create a side braid, start beneath the ear and separate three strands of hair, or more if you’re feeling adventurous. Weave these strands together by slipping one strand between the other strands.
This style might look a little bit school-like. But it only depends on how you wear it. These braids are created in the same manner as a single side braid. First, part the hair into halves and then braid each half as normal. The two braids can be interlinked or left hanging at your discretion.
Alice Band Braid or Up Do Braid Hairstyles
This one is tricky, and most probably you will not be able to do it yourself. Ask a skillful friend or hairdresser. In order to give yourself a cute Up Do braid, begin by parting your hair at the spot you wish to have as the headband. You can use a fingernail, pencil, comb, or anything similar. Start the braid roughly two to three inches back on your part. Make certain there is a nice section of rectangularly shaped hair before you begin to braid it.
Beyond this point it will be time to decide between creating a pony tail, bun or something else with your Up Do braid. If you wish to work with a pony tail or bun stop your braid roughly two inches from your ear then make a nice, tight, right corner. If you intend to wear your hair down, end at your ear.
Now begin a french braid at one of the corners you created. Cross the strand on the far right over the center. Add a little hair to this strand, it used to be the rightmost but now it is the center strand, from the right side. Now cross the far left strand over the center. Add a little hair from the current left strand since the one you are holding is now the center strand.
Continue to create your brain until all of your loose hair has been formed into a braid. Once this is finished you will follow this up by braiding the rest of the hair normally and securing it with a barrette, band, or bit of elastic. You can then repeat on the other side of your head if you like.
In this style of braid start on top of the head and braid it till the end of the hair. Braiding in this manner can be done with different braid types but the most popular are the classic type and the fishtail type.
You can make any braid messy. Just make a loose braid. If it is not messy enough take our random strands using your fingers. Try not to overdo it, though.
The Jasmine braid is a type of French braid that is accomplished by adding in hair ties along the way to accentuate the look. It is a very long braid, however. For some people it may be necessary to buy a wig to acquire this look.
This type of braid uses three sections of hair. One section is placed between the other two in an intricate pattern. Typically begin with the rightmost section then cross it over the center before adding a little hair from the new rightmost strand. Do this with the leftmost strand as well. Repeat until completion.
The fishtail braid is one of the best braid hairstyles ever. A quick and simple fishtail braid can be created easily. Part two large strands of hair hear the crown of the head. Place an elastic tie here in order to make a makeshift ponytail, then begin to braid the two strands together. Start by holding both strands separated in your left hand. Take a small strand from the right and cross it over. Follow this by switching the hands holding the hair and moving a strand of hair from the left to the right. Continue this until you have the braid as long as you like and place an elastic tie to hold it in place.
As stated above this braid is created by twisting two strands of hair together. Begin by parting the hair like a fishtail braid. After you have done this take the right strand, twist it a little, then cross it over the left. Repeat this process with the new rightmost strand until the rope braid is as long as you like then tie it off with elastic.
