Driving Through the World’s Largest Loop-the-Loop

China has a new record under its belt: driving through the world’s largest loop-the-loop.

Li Yatao, of Zhejiang, drove a Youngman Lotus L5 Sportback through a loop measuring 42 feet in diameter and 12-foot wide, Motor Authority reported. The car holds a Guinness world record for the largest loop-the-loop attempted by an automobile.

What exactly is a Youngman? It’s a Chinese domestic car brand, “much like our own Chevrolet,” according to Motor Authority.

.
Youngman builds cars, under license from Proton, for the Chinese market. Proton owns Lotus, so therefore both Proton and Youngman are free to use the Lotus name on their cars.

The Youngman that broke the Guinness record touts a badge that says it is engineered by Lotus. The car is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower.
