The announcement of the theme park project was made by Real Madrid‘s club president Florentino Perez in a presentation at the Bernabeu stadium in Madrid.

Reports say that the 4.6 million-square-foot Real Madrid resort island will be constructed on an artificial island in the UAE. It will be a Real Madrid Sports oriented theme park that will combine soccer and tourism. The island resort will feature sports facilities, hotels, apartments, bungalows and a beach resort.
