Angry Birds Space released, now available for iOS, Mac and Android devices



Rovio Entertainment launched the Angry Birds Space on Thursday, March 22, 2012, which was made available for iOS and Android devices, as well as OS X and Windows PCs. According to a press release, Angry Birds Space is available at the Apple iTunes Store for iPhone, iPad (including the new iPad), iPod touch, as well as the Mac and PC, with PC retail copies to follow soon. Angry Birds Space marks the first integrated Rovio entertainment launch, with merchandise, animation and books available in retail at the same time as the game, brand new birds with brand new superpowers. 


“This is Rovio at its finest, and we are more than excited to bring Angry Birds Space to all our fans worldwide.” Rovio CEO Mikael Hed was quoted in the report, with the hope that Angry Bird fans will find all the things they wanted at Angry Birds Space. “This launch marks a huge step for us as a company, and our whole team and partners have really pulled together to bring out a fantastic array of exciting products and experiences.” Hed added. 


Apparently, Angry Birds Space features 60 different levels, with Rovio promising regular free updates, as new levels are to be available to iOS users via an in-app purchase, as many hidden secrets in the game on all platforms can be discovered by players. 


For the prices, Rovio said that Angry Birds Space costs for $0.99 on the iPhone and iPod touch and Angry Birds Space HD costs for $2.99 on the iPad; as both of them now available at the Apple iTunes Store. The Mac version is available for $4.99 in the Mac App Store. On the other hand, the game is available for Android devices for free with advertisements, while the ad-free version costs $0.99. The HD version for Android tablets is available for $2.99 in both the Google Play marketplace and Amazon Appstore.
