Google’s Hot New Product: Watches

What time Is It? Why don’t you Google it? Or to be more precise, check your Google watch. I’m not talking about Android watches, an emerging category of new “smart” products, a Google-branded watch.

DVICE spotted new watches in Google’s online store. The timepieces, created by Modify Watches, seem to be a retro nod to the 1980s era Swatch Watches. They feature analog faces with interchangeable color bands to give you choices.

The watches, which come in large and small sizes, are made with stainless steel and polycarbonate casing, water resistant to the atmosphere. They retail for $59.95 each.

These are more a novelty than anything else. Today, nobody wears watches anymore. People have cell phones for that.
