Baby elephant debuts at Germany zoo



Baby elephant Assam made his first appearance in the outdoor enclosure at the Hagenbeck zoo in Hamburg, northern Germany.



The few weeks old Asian elephant bull (Elephas maximus) named Assam cuddles with his mother Lai Sinh in his first appearance at the Hagenbeck zoo in Hamburg, Germany. Assam is the youngest breeding success of the zoo and has increased the herd to 13 animals.
