Several dinosaur eggs were reportedly found by Geologists in Chechnya, a Russian border with former Soviet Georgia in the Caucasus Mountains. About 40 fossilized dinosaur eggs found were already accounted by the Russian Geologists, according to reports.
The dinosaur eggs were discovered along a hillside after road construction workers conducted blasting in the area. These fossilized dinosaur eggs reportedly measures from 25cm to one meter. Reports say that some of these eggs were considered as the world’s largest dinosaur eggs ever discovered.
Said-Emin Dzhabrailov, a Chechen State University geologist, said that they “found about 40 eggs so far, the exact number has not been established.” He added that “There could be many more laying under the ground.”
Dzhabrailov explained that paleontologists will be able to determine the dinosaur species who laid these eggs.
Reports say that the regional Chechen government is planning to convert the place into a natural preservation that is aimed to attract tourists in the area.
