Honda Recall: 52,615 Acura TLs Recalled Due To Power Steering Hose Problem

Honda Acura TL

Honda‘s Acura will voluntarily recall 52,615 model-year 2007-2008 TL sedans in the United States to replace the power steering hose, Honda announced. According to the news release, the power steering hose may deteriorate and develop a fluid leak over time on these sedans. Leaking power steering fluid could lead to loss of power steering assistance and if it leaks onto a catalyctic converter, it may result in smoke or fire.

Notification regarding this recall will be mailed to customers starting mid-June 2012. Honda encourages owners of all affected vehicles to take their vehicles to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive the notification.

Vehicle owners can also check if their vehicle is part of this recall by going online at www.recalls.acura.com or by calling (800) 382-2238, and selecting option 4, the news release said. Honda reportedly said that there have been no reported crashes, injuries or fires related to this problem.
