Apple will be releasing a 7-inch iPad, known as iPad Mini, this October. According to a report from Business Insider, Barclays analysts think a new 7-inch iPad is on the way this year. “Following up on comments made last week, recent research still leads us to believe that Apple may be planning to add another form factor to its iPad line in the 7″ range for the fall,” Barclays analysts latest note reportedly said.
Meanwhile, iMore said that the iPad Mini, will be identical to the current 9.7-inch iPad, just scaled down. iMore noted that the resolution will still be at 2048×1536 but it will put the pixel density at about 326 ppi. The new iPad Mini will be priced at the range of $200 to $250. The cost is cheaper compared to the existing iPad by providing less storage capacity of only 8GB, reports said. These reports are all rumors and Apple has not yet confirmed any of these.
