Google launched on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 its Google Chrome app for Android-powered smartphones and tablets, as shown in the announcement video below by Google Chrome.
The Google Chrome app Beta version is being introduced and noted simplicity and speed for web browsing activities as among its key features. “Today, we’re introducing Chrome for Android Beta, which brings many of the things you’ve come to love about Chrome to your Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone or tablet.” according to Chrome and Apps SVP Sundar Pichai.
“Like the desktop version, Chrome for Android Beta is focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features seamless sign-in and sync so you can take your personalized web browsing experience with you wherever you go, across devices.” Pichai added.
Apparently, both Google Chrome and Android were launched as separate products of Google more than three years ago, and users notably have been demanding for their unification since then. Pichai noted that one of the biggest pains of mobile browsing is choosing the correct link out of several on a small-screen device, with the recent Google Chrome app promises users to get smarter suggestions.
In addition, Google said that users can now conveniently access sites no matter where they are or which Android device they are using, which is now available in selected countries and languages.
